Power outage to affect several buildings March 24

A planned power outage is scheduled 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, to support medium‑voltage electrical work and the installation of a new transformer and switch for Schrenk Hall. Buildings affected include Castleman Hall,
Centennial Hall, the Rolla Building, Schrenk Hall, Toomey Hall and the Welcome Center.

Sign your child up for swimming lessons

The Missouri S&T swimming team will offer swimming lessons to area children ages 4 and older. There are two sessions this year: March 30-April 9 and April 13-23. Each session will include eight lessons, Monday through Thursday for two weeks.

Applications for Renaissance Student Award due March 20

The award is presented by the arts, languages and philosophy department and co-sponsored by the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education and the College of Engineering and Computing.

The winner will receive a certificate of recognition and $1,300. The runner-up will receive a certificate of recognition and $700.
