S&T, University of Seoul establish dual doctoral program

Representatives from Missouri S&T and the University of Seoul signed an agreement Thursday, Sept. 17, establishing a dual doctoral degree program that will allow students from the University of Seoul to earn doctoral degrees from both institutions.
Under the agreement, students will be co-advised by faculty from Missouri S&T and the University of Seoul while completing doctoral-level studies. The partnership begins through the collaboration of Dr. Seung-Jong Park, chair of computer science at Missouri S&T, with the computer science Ph.D. and is expected to expand to additional doctoral programs across the university.
Dr. John Harris, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at Missouri S&T, and Dr. Yongkul Won, president of the University of Seoul, signed the agreement during a ceremony held Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Innovation Lab Forum.
