Attend a presentation on building a new Missouri icon

The Missouri S&T student chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Architectural Engineering Institute invite the campus community to a presentation by Missouri S&T alumnus Matt Amrhein, titled “Building a New Missouri Icon from the Ground Up … to the Sky.” The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Room 125 of Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall.
Amrhein earned a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from S&T in 2016. As a senior project manager at Clayco Construction, he will discuss the planning, engineering and construction of Albion West End, a 30-story residential tower rising along Forest Park in St. Louis’ Central West End. The project uses concrete and post-tensioned structural systems combined with a window-wall façade, requiring close coordination among architects, engineers, contractors and specialty consultants.
