Want to fly a drone? Read this first

According to University of Missouri System policy and Federal Aviation Administration guidelines, using unmanned aircraft systems, or “drones,” is not allowed on campus without prior authorization. For approval to fly a drone on S&T’s campus, please complete and submit this form to S&T’s environmental health and safety department.

Tonight’s observatory event cancelled

The next observatory event will be held at 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the Missouri S&T Observatory. Cancun trip prize to be raffled off at tomorrow’s talent show

Missouri S&T’s Engineers Without Borders (EWB) student group will host a faculty and staff talent show to raise funds for the organization. The show starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, in Leach Theatre. During intermission, raffle tickets will be sold for $10 each. The winner of the raffle will be announced immediately after the talent show and will receive two tickets for a Cancun vacation.

One day remains in Leach Theatre’s step challenge

Tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 16) will be the final day to participate in Leach Theatre’s step challenge and earn a free ticket to an upcoming show. Walkers have recorded more than 469,000 steps since the challenge started Jan. 22. For those who wish to continue walking indoors after the step challenge ends, the theater’s auditorium and lobby will remain open 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Friday, March 23.

Volunteers needed for FIRST robotics competition

Faculty to share about interdisciplinary creativity, entrepreneurship

Counseling services to expand groups offered

Counseling services offers a variety of group therapy options for students including ADHD Support, Safety, Building Social Confidence, Miners for Recovery and Mood Management. Additionally, this week offerings are expanding to include Test Anxiety, Graduate Support, Body Image and Living with Loss. If you know of any students who might benefit from the existing or upcoming groups, please direct them to the counseling services office in 204 Norwood Hall or have them call 341-4211.
