Drone flying in sky

According to University of Missouri System policy and Federal Aviation Administration guidelines, using unmanned aircraft systems, or “drones,” is not allowed on campus without prior authorization. For approval to fly a drone on S&T’s campus, please complete and submit this form to S&T’s environmental health and safety department.

Missouri S&T’s MinerFly team designs, builds and uses drones for research services. The MinerFly team follows FAA guidelines and is not required to submit requests preceding every flight.

For more information about the policy or Missouri S&T’s approval process for unmanned aircraft systems, please contact Michelle Bresnahan, director of environmental health and safety, at 341-4305 or mem@mst.edu.
