Funeral services announced for Howard Boyer

Howard “Trey” Boyer III, a mechanical engineering student from DeSoto, Missouri, died May 13. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at Mahn Funeral Home, located at 900 N. Main St. and Mahn Avenue in DeSoto. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, located at 504 S. 3rd St. in DeSoto.

Physics professor’s play opens tomorrow

The Lyric Live Theater, located at 117 1st St. in Newburg, Missouri, will perform the play “In Search of Guadalajara” by Dr. Greg Story, associate professor of physics. Performances will start at 7 p.m. May 18, 19, 25 and 26. The shows are free, with donations to the theater appreciated.

Nearing retirement? Seminar coming up

The University of Missouri System will hold a pre-retirement seminar via telepresence 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, in Room 201A of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library. The free seminar is designed for faculty and staff 10 years or less from retirement; however, all faculty and staff are welcome to attend. Learn about retirement plans, retiree insurance and the retirement process. Attendees may earn 25 wellness incentive points. Please register via myLearn.

Parking lot near church to temporarily close

To allow for funeral service parking at Rolla’s Christ Episcopal Church, church leaders ask that S&T employees do not park in A-44 on Friday, May 18. Permit A holders may park in any other lot on campus, with the exception of Lot F, on Friday.
