The Missouri S&T physical facilities staff will conduct flow tests on sprinkler systems in several buildings today (Monday, Feb. 12) and tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 13). You may notice crews in the following buildings: Bertelsmeyer Hall, Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall, Curtis Laws Wilson Library, Emerson Hall, Straumanis-James Hall and the Technology Development Center. Missouri S&T’s key shop, located in Room 118 of the General Services Building, will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 20, due to a planned partial power outage on campus. The key shop will resume normal business hours, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21. There will be a chilled water outage beginning at noon Monday, Aug. 24, in Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Cooling temperatures may vary for the remainder of the day Monday and possibly part of Tuesday morning. The outage will allow contractors to install a new chiller. Read More »Funeral information for Garry Scantlin
Garry Scantlin, retired member of the physical facilities staff at Missouri S&T, died Saturday, June 6. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 9) in the St. James Chapel of the James and Gahr Mortuary, 117 Seymour St. in St. James, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, in the same location.
Mr. Scantlin joined the staff of Missouri S&T in April 1999 and retired in September 2010. He is the husband of Betty Scantlin, telecommunication IT analyst in information technology.
