Prepare for campus power outages

To prepare to demolish S&T’s current power substation, power on the S&T campus must be rerouted. This will cause several power outages to occur over the next two weeks, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 9. Two new substations will be built, one near Residential Commons 2 and one near 209 E. 8th St. in Rolla. The new substations will be completed by the end of 2023.

Bureau of Mines buildings scheduled for demolition

Three former U.S. Bureau of Mines (BOM) buildings on campus are scheduled for demolition beginning in June as part of the university’s plans to develop a new entry to campus and new facilities for students. The three buildings are located south of the Havener Center near the intersection of University Drive and Bishop Avenue.
