Expect delays on Hwy 63 starting March 21

Beginning at 5 a.m. Monday, March 21, U.S. Route 63 between 10th Street and University Drive (Route E) will be reduced to one lane in each direction for road construction. Miner Circle will also be closed off at Highway 63 beginning March 21. To access Lot B near the Havener Center, please take 11th Street to State Street.

Bureau of Mines buildings scheduled for demolition

Three former U.S. Bureau of Mines (BOM) buildings on campus are scheduled for demolition beginning in June as part of the university’s plans to develop a new entry to campus and new facilities for students. The three buildings are located south of the Havener Center near the intersection of University Drive and Bishop Avenue.

Update: Pedestrian bridge construction to affect area traffic

Puck and plaza construction underway

Construction is underway on the Jack Carney Puck and Plaza. This project will include renovating the south end of the Puck, adding new entrance sidewalks leading up from the south, replacing concrete, and adding seating and new landscaping.

Library renovation continues, main entrance remains open

The exterior renovation to Curtis Laws Wilson Library is proceeding on schedule. The contractors built overhead protection at the main entrance as the work proceeds to the south side. The main entrance will remain open throughout the project.
