Applications are open for the 2019-20 Opportunities for Undergraduate Research Experience (OURE) program. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 scholarship. Missouri S&T’s Black Man’s Think Tank will host “A Conversation on Learning” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center. The session will be an open dialogue among students, faculty, staff and administrators about student experiences in the classroom and the importance of student and professor collaboration in the learning process.

The African Student Association invites all students, faculty and staff to S&T’s African Gala Night 5-9 p.m. Sunday, April 28, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. With a theme of “The Motherland,” the event will feature different aspects of the African culture, including dance, art, food, fashion, music, entertainment and traditions.

Wind symphony to perform outdoor concert
The University Wind Symphony and S&T Video Game Music Ensemble will perform an outdoor concert at noon Friday, April 26, on the lawn in front of the Havener Center. The concert is free and audience members are welcome to bring lunch and a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.

The mechanical and aerospace engineering department is hosting a mini-electronics trade show in the atrium of Toomey Hall until 2 p.m. today (Thursday, April 18).
