The employee eConnection will move to its
summer schedule starting Wednesday, May 22, until fall classes begin. During
this period, eConnection will be sent once a week, on Wednesdays.
National Prevention Week, which focuses on preventing
suicide, will conclude Friday, May 17. The overall theme of “Inspiring Action.
Changing Lives” reminds us that there is something each of us can do to change
lives for the better. Counseling Services notes that the Missouri S&T
Suicide Prevention Training Program was designed to help faculty, staff and
students prevent suicide by teaching how to: identify people at risk for
suicide; recognize protective factors and warning signs of suicide; respond to
the signs and get help. Don’t wait. Take 15 minutes to complete the “Ask.
Listen. Refer.” training at www.asklistenrefer.org/mst.
