Dr. Beth Kania-Gosche, formerly the associate dean of the School of Education and professor of education at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, has been named founding chair of the department of teacher education and certification at Missouri S&T. Her appointment begins July 1.

Today: Get a look inside the expanded fitness center
The campus community is invited to celebrate the expansion of S&T’s fitness center at a dedication ceremony at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, April 25. After a short ribbon-cutting ceremony, you can tour the renovated facility. The expanded facility will open to serve S&T students, faculty and staff in early May.

It’s time for instructors to request software for use in computer learning centers (CLC) across campus. Please submit your requests online by 5 p.m. Friday, May 3. Here are the steps:

Participate in research survey
You are invited to participate in a survey about linguistic perceptions as a part of a research project. The survey is open to faculty, students and staff at S&T. By participating, you will be eligible to win one of ten $10 Amazon gift cards. The research project has been approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and results of this survey will be used for research purposes only. Celebrate 150 years with a commemorative history book
Dr. Larry Gragg, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor emeritus of history, tells the story of Missouri S&T’s history from its founding in 1870 to today in his commemorative, coffee table-style history book, named MSM/UMR/S&T: A Sesquicentennial History. The book will launch just in time to celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2020-21.
