Do you have students interested in funding for study abroad opportunities? Tell them about the Boren Awards information session at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Silver and Gold Room of the Havener Center.
A representative of the Institute of International Education will discuss scholarships and fellowships for long-term cultural and linguistic immersion programs in regions critical to national security. These awards of $10,000 to $30,000 are available to both undergraduates and graduate students in most fields.
For students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields, funding also is available for eight-week summer programs. Opportunities are available in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East.
