At about 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, University Police staff monitoring campus security cameras observed a person acting suspiciously near the Thomas Jefferson Residence Hall.

University Police and Rolla Police officers responded to the area and arrested a person stealing bicycles from the residence hall bike rack. The suspect used a bolt cutter to remove the locks and take bicycles from the racks, but officers were able to recover the bicycles.

University Police officers provide not only vehicle and foot patrol on and around campus 24/7, but they also monitor campus security cameras around the clock. The police department recommends that you consider registering for the RAVE Guardian Security App on your smartphone.

Additionally, if you are a bicycle rider on campus, please consider registering your bicycle with University Police. The police department is committed to the safety and security of S&T community.
