Student survey closes soon

Undergraduate and graduate students at S&T received an email with a link to the 2019 Student Survey on Sexual Misconduct. The survey is designed to help the university to better understand student experiences and opinions concerning sexual violence and harassment so we can work to foster safer and more supportive campus communities. University Police recently received reports of a scam targeting international students. The scam involves someone who claims to be with law enforcement (e.g. police, sheriff, etc.) calling students and threatening arrest for breaking a law or not paying a tax.

Sheppard, Shannon honored during Woman of the Year luncheon

Dr. Kate Sheppard, associate professor of history and political science, was named the 2019 Woman of the Year during an awards ceremony held April 24 at Hasselmann Alumni House. During the ceremony, Dr. Katie Shannon was presented the Dr. Elizabeth Cummins Women’s Advocate Award. Shannon is an associate teaching professor of biological sciences and director of the Laboratory of Cytokinesis at S&T.
