Miner Adjustment 2014

Student affairs is once again coordinating Miner Adjustment, an informational program for the parents of new students. Parents will be invited to take a break during freshmen move-in from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, and visit the Havener Center to relax, enjoy refreshments and learn about the support programs for students at Missouri S&T.

Benefits enrollment changes for 2015

For 2015, the University of Missouri System will introduce new medical plan choices, as well as new wellness incentive options that offer up to $450 for taking steps to live a healthier life. This year, employees will be required to either select and submit a new medical plan, or waive coverage during this fall’s annual enrollment, which starts in October.

Transportation oversight committee forum today

Members of the campus community are invited to attend the Missouri Legislature’s Joint Committee on Transportation Oversight public forum at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, July 23) in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Rep. Dave Schatz and Sen. Mike Kehoe, who serve as committee co-chairs, will preside over an agenda that includes approval of two highway naming applications.

New MinerCards, fee rates

The MinerCard office will introduce a new card this semester to students, faculty and staff, featuring contactless technology. The current mag-stripe system, which is still used around the campus, will remain. All current students, faculty and staff are eligible to receive one new MinerCard at no cost, if their current card is surrendered, during the migration period of Aug. 4-Dec. 19.

Water outage in engineering management today
