McMillin named interim associate dean

Dr. Bruce McMillin, professor of computer science, became interim associate dean of the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) effective Sept. 1. Until the position is filled, McMillin will split his time between his current duties and the college. McMillin’s role will be to assist Ian Ferguson, vice provost and dean of CEC, in defining and setting up the new college. McMillin has been with the campus since 1988, founded the NSA/DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education and Research, and is a senior investigator in the Intelligent Systems Center.
