Solar Village microgrid unveiling
The campus community is invited to attend a dedication ceremony for the Solar Village’s microgrid at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Solar Village, located at 810 West 10th St., in Rolla. The ceremony is open to the public.

In the coming weeks Missouri S&T will introduce a new responsive university standard template on its websites. The new template will make the university’s websites more user-friendly on any device. Missouri S&T’s web presence includes over 16,000 pages optimized for a screen size that now represents less than two percent of total site traffic. This upgrade will make university sites “future friendly,” taking advantage of modern web technologies like responsive design and adaptive loading, along with other background enhancements to improve page load times and device compatibility.

OrgSync is launching a new user interface on Aug. 5. This update is a reimagining of how OrgSync can work for you now and in the future. There will be a time and labor refresher training session, including news highlights and a question and answer session, from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. All time and labor time-keepers and time-approvers are encouraged to attend.

Staff members will receive a Staff Council nomination form in their campus mailbox. Nominate a staff member to serve on Staff Council and return the form by Friday, July 11. Any benefit-eligible staff member with at least one year of service can be nominated. For more information, visit the Staff Council website.

Student affairs’ services and operations department has a three-bedroom house available for rent to faculty or staff of Missouri S&T. The house is located on Maxwell Drive, close to Truman Elementary School and Ber Juan Park. Rent is $785 a month plus utilities. For information, contact services and operations at 341-4209.
Read More »Ebus to be Carnival shuttle July 2
The Ebus will run a shuttle service from the Havener Center on campus to the Kmart parking lot for the Lions Club Carnival on Wednesday, July 2. Shuttles will depart every 30 minutes (barring traffic delays) from 7 p.m. until approximately 1 a.m., after the fireworks display is finished.
