The Rolla Town Band will perform the first of three concerts this summer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, on the Castleman Green, located at the corner of 10th and State streets. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Daniel Oerther, the John A. and Susan Mathes Chair of Environmental Engineering at Missouri S&T, has been selected to participate in the National Academies Keck Futures Conference titled “Art and Science, Engineering, and Medicine Frontier Collaborations: Ideation, Translation and Realization.” The conference will be held Nov. 12-14 at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center in Irvine, California.

Healthy for Life is sponsoring 15-minute chair massages for employees. Massages will be offered 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesdays between July 1 and Aug. 5 in Room 204 Centennial Hall. The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce warns the campus community that a group named Hometown Productions is calling area businesses to sell advertisement space on new Rolla and Phelps County maps. The group is fraudulently claiming to be acting on behalf of the chamber.

The College of Arts, Sciences, and Business will host a campuswide retirement reception for Dr. Bob Aronstam, chair and professor of biological sciences, 2-4 p.m. Monday, June 29, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center.
