Blood bank honors S&T student organizations

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks recognized Missouri S&T for the most blood donations from a college in 2021. With the help of Missouri S&T’s Student Council and Greek community organizing blood drives, the center received 538 donations of blood last year.

Toxicologist aims to save butterflies

Dr. Niranjana Krishnan, an assistant research professor in biological sciences at Missouri S&T, says that certain insecticides are better than others for minimally impacting animal habitats. Krishnan recently published her research on milkweed plant habitats near corn and soybean fields in the journal Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.
