Hilmas elected to World Academy of Ceramics

Dr. Greg Hilmas, Curators’ Distinguished Professor of ceramic engineering, was elected and inducted as an Academician into the World Academy of Ceramics. The Academician distinction is to “reward and honor individuals who have made an international renown significant contribution to the advancement of ceramics culture, science and technology.”
Hilmas was officially awarded the academy diploma during the opening ceremony of the 15th International Conference on Modern Materials and Technologies in Perugia, Italy.
