In 2019, Bridgette Betz, director of student financial assistance at Missouri S&T, earned the FAAC designation through the Certified Financial Aid Administrator Program by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. She was one of the first 75 financial aid administrators in the United States to earn this designation. This certification verifies she possesses foundational knowledge and skills to effectively administer Title IV federal student aid programs at colleges and universities as a financial aid professional.
To maintain this designation, she is required to participate in activities that support growth and development as a financial aid administrator and higher education professional, including financial aid-related continuing education, qualifying leadership, instruction, authorship, advocacy and other activities contributing to the profession.
As of May 26, the FAAC designation has been awarded to 316 individuals across the country. Betz has been recertified and will continue to hold the FAAC designation until June 2025.
