A team from electrical and computer engineering led by Dr. Rui Bo, assistant professor, won $1,000 in phase one of the Hydropower Operations Optimization Prize. The competition is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office to encourage developing solutions to help advance hydropower’s contribution to the grid. The team is one of the eight teams that received awards and included researchers Yang Chen, Siyuan Wang, Hossein MehdipourPicha and Haotian Chen.
