Woods, National Academy of Engineering member and professor emeritus at the University of Michigan, will present “Geotechnical Impact of High Energy Construction Operations on Nearby Infrastructure” at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, May 18, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Hall. Woods’ presentation will be the inaugural lecture in the Shamsher and Sally Prakash Distinguished Lecture Series in Geotechnical Engineering. Read More »To help raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, Friday, May 19, is “Jeans for Genes Day.” For a $5 donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, you can wear jeans and get a sticker to help raise awareness for this condition that affects approximately 30,000 U.S. individuals. While there is no cure, great strides have been made into research to help extend and improve the lives of patients with cystic fibrosis.
