NAE member to speak about geotechnical engineering on May 18

Dr. Richard D. Woods, National Academy of Engineering member and professor emeritus at the University of Michigan, will present “Geotechnical Impact of High Energy Construction Operations on Nearby Infrastructure” at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, May 18, in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Hall. Woods’ presentation will be the inaugural lecture in the Shamsher and Sally Prakash Distinguished Lecture Series in Geotechnical Engineering.

The lecture is free and open to the public, but will also serve as the keynote address for the 2017 GeoMO Conference. Those interested in registering for the full day’s activities may visit geomo.mst.edu.
