COVID-19: S&T prepared for Rolla’s stay-at-home ordinance

Chancellor Mo Dehghani sent the following message to students, faculty and staff on March 31:
The Rolla City Council passed a stay-at-home ordinance Monday night to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. This ordinance goes into effect at 8 a.m. Monday, April 6, and will remain in effect through Monday, May 11. Because of our own measures already in place at Missouri S&T to slow the spread of COVID-19, this ordinance will not have a substantial impact on our current operations.

City conducts smoke testing

The City of Rolla’s public works department is smoke testing sanitary sewer lines in town. Smoke testing is planned on the northeast corner of S&T’s campus Thursday, June 7. You may notice crews working near these buildings: Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall, Computer Science Building, Curtis Laws Wilson Library, Emerson Hall, Engineering Research Lab, Fulton Hall, Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Interdisciplinary Engineering Building, Norwood Hall, Physics Building and Straumanis-James Hall.
