Sign up for Lavender Graduation

Established in 1995, Lavender Graduation is an alternate graduation ceremony to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students by acknowledging their achievements and contributions during their time at Missouri S&T. The ceremony will be 5-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Hasselmann Alumni House. The ceremony is free and open to any graduating undergraduate and graduate students and their loved ones.

Dr. Daniel B. Oerther, professor of environmental engineering, has been re-appointed to an additional three-year term as a trustee of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) in the United Kingdom. He is currently serving a three-year term that began in January 2020.

Chemistry group creates new auxetic material

A new type of lightweight shape-memory auxetic polymer was made by Dr. Chariklia Sotiriou-Leventis, professor of chemistry, and her research team including Rushi Soni, who graduated in December 2021 with a doctorate in chemistry, and chemistry doctoral students ABM Shaheen ud Doulah, and Vaibhav Edlabadkar.

Wernke invited to speak about composition
