Oerther re-appointed CIEH trustee

Dr. Daniel B. Oerther, professor of environmental engineering, has been re-appointed to an additional three-year term as a trustee of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) in the United Kingdom. He is currently serving a three-year term that began in January 2020.

Founded in 1883, with more than 8,000 global members, the institute’s mission is, “safer, cleaner, and healthier environments for the benefit of all.” In 2018, Oerther was elected a fellow of CIEH, and he received the Best Innovative Environment Health Solution Award for his work to eliminate childhood stunting in Guatemala. Since 2021, he has served as deputy chair of the board of trustees.
