Insecure encryption protocols to be removed Aug. 15

Look out for emails regarding network access

On Monday, May 8, S&T IT will begin sending notification emails to a computer’s assigned user when the computer has not been on campus or connected to campus properly for a significant period to reduce concerns of cybersecurity vulnerabilities that could threaten campus with viruses or even ransomware.

GitLab access now requires personal access tokens

Starting Friday, May 26, campus users trying to access GitLab (git.mst.edu or git-classes.mst.edu), the computer programming source code and version control repository available to campus, will no longer be able to authenticate using their username and password combination from the command line, developer software or calls within applications.
