Six graduating students have been chosen to speak during Missouri S&T’s commencement ceremonies Saturday, Dec. 15. The College of Engineering and Computing invites all CEC faculty and staff to its college-wide meeting 2:30-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. The annual event will recognize this year’s CEC Dean’s Scholars and Dean’s Educators, reveal winners of staff achievement awards and welcome new faculty. A reception with snacks and beverages will follow.

Dr. John Myers, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering and associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Engineering and Computing, has been named a fellow of the International Institute for FRP in Construction. FRP stands for fiber-reinforced polymers.

Dr. Angela Lueking, a professor of energy and mineral engineering and chemical engineering at Pennsylvania State University and a recent program director at the National Science Foundation, is joining Missouri S&T as associate dean of research in the College of Engineering and Computing starting Aug. 1.
