Dr. John Myers, professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering and associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Engineering and Computing, has been named a fellow of the International Institute for FRP in Construction. FRP stands for fiber-reinforced polymers.
A colleague in Australia nominated Myers for the group’s executive council, and he was elected to serve on it. Myers is the second S&T faculty member to be honored by the group, succeeding colleague Dr. Antonio Nanni, who is now chair of the civil, architectural and environmental engineering department at the University of Miami.
