Read More »The Missouri S&T Mars Rover Design Team will be featured at a pre-eclipse event at the Lake Spring Post Office 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19. The post office is located at 100 State Route 72 in Lake Spring, Missouri. The event also will include chemistry demonstrations, a presentation about the solar eclipse and the unveiling of an eclipse cancellation stamp. All activities are free and open to the public, with the exception of a barbecue lunch, which costs $5 per person. The university will welcome campus and community members to observe the event 11 a.m.-3 p.m. outside Havener. Vehicles illegally parked in lots operated by the City of Rolla or on public streets will be ticketed and potentially towed. Businesses may contact the Rolla Police Department and report non-customer vehicles and request that they be ticketed and towed.
