Testing center notes possible delays

Due to the large volume of exams administered through the Testing Center, students may encounter a 30- to 45-minute delay with the starting time of their scheduled final exam. In addition, students using Testing Center services may be asked to start final exams 30 minutes earlier than the regularly scheduled final exam time. Testing Center staff will not release students who finish early until 15-20 minutes after the regularly scheduled final exam time.

Forciniti named associate provost of faculty affairs

Dr. Robert Marley, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, has appointed Dr. Daniel Forciniti, professor of chemical and biochemical engineering, as associate provost of faculty affairs, effective June 1. In his new role, Forciniti will assist the provost’s office with faculty and workload assignment, promotion and tenure policy, and other matters in faculty affairs. He also will represent Marley on various committees and at events, including working directly with academic affairs officials at the University of Missouri System and on other UM System campuses.

Miner Threat beats Air Force Academy, advances to nationals

Miner Threat, Missouri S&T men’s Ultimate Frisbee team, has qualified for the club sport’s national championships, to be held May 19-20 in Rockford, Illinois. The Ultimate team finished first in USA Ultimate’s South Central regional competition on April 28-29, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, an event that drew competitors from Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
