Seminars on drones open to public

Dr. Adam Watts, research professor at the Desert Research Institute in Reno, Nevada, will present two public seminars about unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), more commonly known as drones. The presentations will be:

  • “Past and future directions for UAS in environmental research” 2-2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in 204 McNutt Hall, sponsored by the civil, architectural and environmental engineering department
  • Implications of Unmanned Aircraft for Society: Case Studies from the Environmental Sciences” noon-12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center, sponsored by the Center for Science, Technology and Society.
