The Missouri S&T Gaming Association will host CogCon 25, a local gaming convention. This event will be held on the second floor of the Havener Center beginning Friday, Sept. 18, and lasting through Sunday, Sept 20. Read More »Missouri S&T’s International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Design Team invites the campus community to its White Nose Syndrome Symposium. The symposium will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. This year, the team is working on a project to combat White Nose Syndrome, a disease caused by a fungal pathogen that has been devastating bat populations in the United States since 2007. This symposium will include presentations by subject matter experts concerned with curtailing the spread and effect of White Nose Syndrome on bat populations and our ecosystems. Contestants should visit participating area businesses, take a selfie in front of a flag display and post the photo to the Celebration of Nations Facebook page with the tag #CofN15. The most fun and creative photo from each business location will be chosen by a panel of judges, and the submitter will be awarded a $25 gift certificate or a prize of equal value by the business.
