Educational technology is now accepting presentation proposals for the ninth annual Teaching and Learning Technology Conference, scheduled for March 17-18, 2016. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Linda Nilson, founding director of the office of teaching effectiveness and innovation at Clemson University.

“Benefits of the Teaching Partners Program,” a forum about a new, confidential professional development service for instructors who want to enhance their teaching through peer observation and feedback, will be held at noon Monday, Sept. 28, in the Missouri/Ozark Room of the Havener Center.

Jeffrey Bucholtz, a violence-prevention specialist and co-director of We End Violence, will meet with faculty, staff, students and the community on Thursday, Oct. 1. His lecture, titled “Eliminating Gender Violence and Discrimination from Our Classrooms and Campuses: Assumptions about Gender Can Cloud Even Our Best Intentions,” will take place 10:30-11:30 a.m. in St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center.
