A faculty task force organized in 2006 as the Female and Underrepresented Minority Faculty Recruiting and Retention Task Force has a new name and charge. As of Aug. 26, the group is called the Faculty Retention and Recruitment Council, or FRRC. Chancellor Cheryl B. Schrader announced the change in a memo to council members. In that memo, she also described the FRRC’s charge as “to provide advice and counsel to campus leadership on strategies related to faculty diversity and improvement of campus climate.”
The FRRC is chaired by Dr. Robert Marley, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. For more information on the council, visit http://provost.mst.edu/frrc.
