The Joe Mooney Distinguished Student Award recognizes leadership and service by S&T students who are in their sophomore or junior years. One award is given to an outstanding member of a recognized student organization; another is given to an outstanding officer of a recognized student organization. The 13th annual Missouri S&T Undergraduate Research Conference will be held Tuesday, April 11, at the Havener Center. Patti Peterson, student support specialist, has accepted a position in the athletic department at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Her final day at Missouri S&T is Friday, Feb. 10. Drop by a going-away reception to wish her well noon-1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in the Hall of Fame Room at Gale Bullman Building. Peterson joined Missouri S&T in 1999 and has served the athletics and recreation department since 2002.

Lambda Sigma Pi and the St. Pat’s Board will host the ninth annual St. Pat’s Door Decorating Contest for faculty and staff. There is no entry fee and doors will be judged Friday, March 10.
