Dr. Kamal Khayat, the Vernon and Maralee Jones Professor of Civil Engineering and director of the Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies, recently presented at the 2015 FLOW-3D Americas Users Conference. His talk, presented in collaboration with Masoud Hosseinpoor and Ammar Yahia of the Université de Sherbrooke in Canada, was titled “Numerical simulation of dynamic segregation of self-consolidating concrete in L-Box and T-Box test setups using FLOW-3D.”

Theatre program earns KCACTF awards

The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) has bestowed awards of excellence to Jeanne Stanley, associate professor of theatre, for directing; Arden Hawley, a junior in information science and technology, for stage management; and the cast of “Good Kids” for excellence in ensemble acting. Missouri S&T’s Miner League Theatre Players performed “Good Kids” in late October and early November.
