S&T welcomes new faculty

Missouri S&T welcomed more than 30 new faculty members this year. They bring a wide range of expertise that includes artificial intelligence, astrodynamics, energy economics, energy storage, flood prediction, military history, quantum physics and wearable wireless sensors.

Theodore Sumnicht will deliver Ants Are Exploding! Mysteries of the Rainforests (“Des fourmis explosent! Mystères des forêts tropicales”) at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, on Zoom.

For the third consecutive year, Dr. Jeffrey Winiarz received the S&T’s Advising Center’s “We Love Your Class” award from freshman students, who voted for their favorite teacher. Dr. Agnes Vojta received second place. Other nominees include:
