Thrice as nice – ‘We love your class’ award goes to Winiarz

For the third consecutive year, Dr. Jeffrey Winiarz received the S&T’s Advising Center’s “We Love Your Class” award from freshman students, who voted for their favorite teacher. Winiarz is an associate professor of chemistry. Dr. Agnes Vojta, teaching professor of physics, received second place.

  • Dr. Elvan Akin, professor of mathematics and statistics
  • Dr. Andrew Behrendt, assistant teaching professor of history and political science
  • David Croft, lecturer in history and political science
  • Tracie Devault, assistant teaching professor of arts, languages and philosophy
  • Mathew Goldberg, associate teaching professor of English and technical communication
  • Jabar Hassan, lecturer in mathematics and statistics
  • Kim Kinder, assistant teaching professor of mathematics and statistics
  • Dr. Eun Park, associate professor of economics
  • Joel Peacher, lecturer in physics
  • Michael Pleimann, manager of new student programs
  • Dr. Justin Pope, assistant professor of history and political science
  • Clayton Price, associate teaching professor of computer science
  • Taylor Schubert, graduate student in technical communication
  • Dr. Pericles Stavropoulos, associate professor of chemistry
  • Theodore Sumnicht, academic specialist in biological sciences
  • Patrick Taylor, assistant teaching professor of computer science
  • Yixuan Wu, graduate students in mathematics.

Students nominated a total of 20 instructors who represented nine departments.
