The test will include a text message to students, faculty and staff saying, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” The test will also include voice and email alerts. If you are not enrolled in the emergency alert system, you may sign up at alert.mst.edu.

Fire hydrant testing planned tomorrow

Rolla Fire and Rescue personnel will conduct routine fire hydrant testing beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, and will flush all the hydrants on campus. As sediment in pipes is flushed out, you may notice brown water momentarily in sinks. Tornado sirens to be tested this morning

The City of Rolla will test its emergency sirens at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 27). The sirens are designed to sound when the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning. However, they did not sound yesterday (June 26). Crews have fixed the issue and will be testing the sirens today. Do not be alarmed if you hear them.
