Missouri S&T will conduct a test of its emergency alert system for computer notifications at approximately noon tomorrow (Tuesday, March 26). The alert will pop up on computer screens connected to the S&T network and look similar to the above image.
When you receive the alert tomorrow, click the green “acknowledge” button at the bottom of the screen to clear the message. Screens will clear automatically after 30 minutes if the acknowledge button isn’t clicked.
This will be the first campuswide test of the desktop notification system, named Alertus. It is designed to deliver emergency notifications to all IT-managed S&T desktops and laptops, including classroom computers, faculty and staff computers, computer learning center (CLC) workstations, and computers in residential halls and Greek housing.
