Missouri S&T hosts Tau Beta Pi conference

Missouri S&T hosted the 2025 District 9 Conference for Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society, on March 7-8. The event was organized by the university’s Missouri Beta Chapter and welcomed over 40 attendees from 10 university chapters and three alumni chapters across Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.

Former NASA astronaut to visit S&T this week

Dr. Sandra Magnus, a two-time S&T graduate who served aboard the International Space Station and flew on the final space shuttle mission, will visit the S&T campus on Tuesday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 2.

Two students awarded Tau Beta Pi scholarships

Otto Knittel and Jessica A. Frank, both seniors, have been awarded $2,000 scholarships from Tau Beta Pi for the 2024-25 academic year. Tau Beta Pi is the world’s largest engineering honor society.

Engineering honor society names Jischke distinguished alumnus

Tau Beta Pi, an engineering honor society, has named the 2021 recipients of its 25th annual Distinguished Alumnus Award. Dr. Martin C. Jischke, former Missouri S&T chancellor and a current member of the Kummer Institute’s board of directors, is recognized for his leadership capabilities and impact on academia.
