Two Missouri S&T student design teams excelled at competitions over the weekend. The Steel Bridge Design Team earned first place at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2018 Mid-Continent Student Conference. The team now qualifies for and will compete at the national competition May 25-26. The Concrete Canoe Design Team earned fourth place at the American Society of Civil Engineers’ 2018 Mid-Continent Student Conference.

With a busy season of design and fabrication under their belt, the students on the Missouri S&T Steel Bridge Design Team are preparing for their annual competition. The team hopes to raise $2,000 to cover approximately 20 percent of its anticipated competition expenses.
