Three current advisors of S&T student organizations received awards at a breakfast ceremony hosted by student life on Feb. 16. One advisor was honored posthumously with an award. Check out photos on Missouri S&T’s Flickr account.
Nominated by students, the award recipients are:
- Outstanding New Advisor of the Year: Dr. Jossalyn Larson, advisor for The Missouri Miner newspaper and assistant professor of English and technical communication
- Outstanding Advisor of the Year: Sara Lindeman, advisor for the Blue Key Honor Society and manager of student support services
- Distinguished Advisor of the Year: Dr. Oran Allan Pringle, advisor for the Society of Physics Students and Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of Physics
- Student Affairs Meritorious Service Award: the late Dr. Timothy Philpot, former advisor for the Steel Bridge Design Team and associate professor of structural engineering
