The students, Jaykob Maser, Sheldon Harper and Brock Ebert, working in the Physics Advanced Laboratory class under the supervision of Dr. Greg Story, produced fusion of deuterium in a plasma experiment. They confirmed that they had achieved fusion by detecting the production of neutrons in the plasma. Results of their experiment will be discussed at the Fuller Prize talks, 3:30-5 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the lobby of the Physics Building, and at the Physics Advanced Laboratory final presentations, 1-3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in the physics fully library.
