Leach Theatre’s Step Challenge
The step challenge scheduled for next Tuesday, February 26th has been cancelled due to an event taking place in the theatre. The step challenge end date has officially been extended to March 5th due to these circumstances. Leach Theatre’s Step Challenge is held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Castleman Hall. For further information, please visit the box office at 103 Castleman Hall.

Sing along at holiday concert
Join the Missouri S&T music department for the annual Holiday Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, in Leach Theatre. The program will include a selection of holiday classics, movie music, and a sing-along accompanied by the University Choirs and Symphony Orchestra.

Emily Brickler, managing director of Leach Theatre, was awarded $19,952 in grant funding from the Missouri Arts Council (MAC) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for the 2018-19 academic year.

Rolla’s Fine Linen Theatre will produce the Tony-award winning musical Newsies, sponsored by and performed in the newly-renovated Leach Theatre March 28-April 6. Auditions will be held Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church, located at 804 N. Main Street in Rolla.

Renovations underway at Leach Theatre
When Leach Theatre reopens in August, patrons will notice a center aisle, railings and new seats. The theater, which closed June 25, is undergoing renovations. Plans call for new, wider seats with backs that provide lumbar support.
