Extra, extra! Newsies auditions set Sept. 7-8

Is there a performer in you just waiting to emerge? Rolla’s Fine Linen Theatre will produce the Tony-award winning musical Newsies, sponsored by and performed in the newly-renovated Leach Theatre March 28-April 6. Auditions will be held Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8, at First United Methodist Church, located at 804 N. Main Street in Rolla.
Fine Linen Theatre is seeking a diverse cast. All roles are open to any race and ethnicity. The Newsies ensemble will also include a variety of ages.
Based on the famous 1899 New York City newsboys’ strike, Newsies is known for its athletic choreography and invigorating score. Beyond these movement and vocal-heavy roles, Newsies offers a large cast of female and male characters with opportunities for non-dancers to also shine.
