Lynne Soleta, on behalf of Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (GRACE), thanks all faculty, staff and students at Missouri S&T who contributed to GRACE for Christmas. The organization provided gifts for 372 families, including more than 1,200 individuals, thanks to the generosity of community members. Missouri S&T’s Staff Council organized the campus collection and delivery.

Fraternity, police adopt family for holidays

The holidays will be a little brighter for one local family, thanks to Tau Kappa Epsilon and University Police. Individuals in the police department and fraternity joined forces and adopted a family through the Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise (GRACE). They collectively contributed more than $900 and then purchased toys on the wish lists of all three children and gave the parents gift cards for gas and groceries. They provided a holiday meal and presented the gifts to the family at the TKE house on Dec. 10.

Thanks for giving to GRACE, trophies go to two groups

Staff Council members thank the campus community for your support of the recent food and toy drives, as well as individual and department donations for the Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (GRACE). During the November drives, faculty and staff donated more than 1,500 food items, 80 toys and more than $400 in monetary donations. The Chancellor’s Holiday Brunch on Dec. 6 brought in additional donations.

There is still time to donate today; you can drop off donations of unwrapped toys and non-perishable food in an S&T collection box. Collection boxes are located in buildings throughout campus.

Staff Council is sponsoring a food and toy drive for the Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise (GRACE) through Monday, Nov. 27. Created by several churches in Phelps County, GRACE responds to emergency needs of individuals and families in the county. Last day for GRACE drive

This is the last day to bring items for Staff Council’s GRACE for Christmas drive. GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Community Enterprise) provides food, clothing and toys for more than 700 less-fortunate families in our community every year.
